Time Passes By
I swear it feels like I just blogged here a week ago. Yet here I am nearly a month later. Blah.
My guitar is still effed up, so maybe I can get either my friend John or Tarry to take a look at it and see what they have to say. I don’t want to end up taking it to a pawn shop and have to pay to get it fixed, otherwise I would have tried so already. There’s a chance it could be free, sure, but I doubt I’d really care once I got there.
I got to go sledding without glasses for the first time in my entire life! It was like heaven. The bad thing was, with our 7+ inches of snow (that was by no means ‘packing snow’ within the first few days), it was hard to go down even the steepest of hills. I actually slid off the sled and rolled down the hill within my first few times trying. Which I must admit was fun. In a cold and slightly painful way. Mostly cold. I can definitely tell that I am out of shape now. I mean, I knew I was, but I didn’t think it was this bad. I used to be able to climb up those hills with such determination many many times. This time I only climbed up it 6 times or so and had to take a break. Then I was called home by the time I was rested up and didn’t get to sled afterwards. I hope it snows good again soon.
Christmas snuck up on me this year. I mean, today doesn’t even feel like Christmas Eve, by no means. Tomorrow I get to rip some paper. Woo. Usually my parents just give me a certain amount of money for X-mas and let me spend it. I prefer it that way to. Call me odd, but it just seems so much funner. However, my mom went a bit overboard on buying presents for me this year herself and it seems I have no spare cash to spend on my own. I don’t want to say that’s disappointing or anything, but I was just really looking forward to adding my X-mas cash to my own so I could buy either A)a new guitar, B)a new keyboard, or D)a dvd camcorder. Looks like I’ll be needing a job more than ever now.
Here’s a humorous fact before I go.
So I worked at McDonald’s for a few months right? Earned myself over a good $1k. Spent over half of that on a laptop, and randomly spent about $100 elsewhere. So I had about $400 left when I got the time to count. And after my friend Bobbi and I taking random joy ride trips and eating out–I’m down to $340 or so. The irony in it? We usually eat at McDonald’s. I’ve payed for her food quite a few times–which she usually gets the Chicken Nugget meal (that is more expensive than my meal), so I’m sure that’s what helped suck my money away. It’s just sad that I worked at McDonald’s to get that money and they’re slowly but surely reclaiming it. WHYYY. Hahaha.

I spent about 250-300 dollars on Christmas, and that was about two weeks of me working. I was just baffled. Money goes so quickly!
Sledding is a lot of fun. I miss it. I think you know that I moved here to Texas from Illinois around the time that we met; it’s been hard to have hardly any snow to have fun in.
Are you and Barbara still good friends? I haven’t heard about you guys hanging out in many of your entries.
When is your birthday? (random questions! lol)
I hope your guitar heals (a weird way to phrase that), and we need to chat soon!
